STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Award-winning horse trainer Carl O’Callaghan discussed his children’s book, “Wish’s Derby,” on KCAL9 News on Saturday morning.
Initially teased and taunted, the book chronicles a story about a horse with Autism Spectrum Disorder that must race in place of a star horse after it’s injured.
O’Callaghan said the book’s proceeds will go to “Wish Upon A Teen,” a program for those living with Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as serious medical illnesses.
O’Callaghan was joined by Karla Olvera who has been involved with the program and just completed treatment for leukemia.
