Luke Donald: Changing coaches in a bid to improve major performanceLuke Donald has revealed he is to change coaches in a bid to improve his performance in major championships.The Englishman, 35, has opted to join forces with veteran American Chuck Cook who has worked with the likes of Payne Stewart, Tom Kite and Corey Pavin, as well as the most recent major champion, Jason Dufner.
It means Donald will no longer consult long-time coach and mentor Pat Goss for advice on his long game, although their 16-year association will continue as he will retain Goss to work on his short game skills.
However, Donald believes a change in philosophy is needed if he is to add a major championship to his CV and sees a need to address his flaws from tee to green.

"I've gone with Chuck as I want to make my long game more consistent to improve my chances in the majors," Donald is quoted as saying in the Telegraph.
"I've come to realise that majors require a different philosophy.
"Most weeks the best putter wins; but majors are an exception. You have to putt better than average, which, week in week out I'm going to do.
"But the next step is to hit more fairways and greens at majors."
Donald has been with Goss since his college golf days in America and, during their partnership, reached World No 1 whilst amassing 14 wins worldwide.
The pair reportedly remain on good terms although the Englishman felt the time was right to add fresh impetus to his career.
It is understood Donald originally wanted to join Sean Foley's burgeoning portfolio of star pupils (which includes Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Lee Westwood and Hunter Mahan), but the Canadian coach felt he could not dedicate enough time to another big-name client.
