Tiger fired off a pair of 67s over the weekend to earn a share of second. Woods only managed a T40 in the PGA Championship, but has claimed victory five times in a dozen appearances while on Tour in 2013. Despite failing to capture a major, Tiger is tops in both scoring average and All-Around Ranking.Scott only managed a T58 at Liberty National back in 2009, but has been playing very well lately. He most recently finished T5 at the PGA Championship, giving him two top-fives over his last three starts. Scott is second in scoring average, 17th in total driving and 16th in All-Around Ranking.At the start of the 2012 season, Stenson was outside of the top 220 players in the world. This time last year he was outside of the top 120. Now over his last five worldwide appearances Stenson has finished T10 in the BMW International Open, T3 in the Scottish Open, solo second at the British Open, T2 at Firestone and solo third at the PGA Championship. That blazing run has Stenson up to 10th in the world and the hottest player going right now.Mickelson finished T52 at Liberty National in 2009 and has been a mixed bag throughout the 2013 season. Over his last four starts, Lefty missed the cut at the Greenbrier Classic only to win the British Open. He was decent at Firestone, but struggled in the PGA Championship. Mickelson rates first in birdie average, ninth in scoring average and 13th in All-Around Ranking.A Sunday-best round of 64 allowed Johnson to jump 36 spots and finish T15 at Liberty National in 2009. He’s coming off a T8 at the PGA Championship and has three such results over his last six starts. D.J. is first in eagles, fifth in driving distance, 18th in scoring average and 21st in birdie average.Kuchar was sitting well inside the top 10 at Liberty National in 2009, but dropped to finish T28. His 23 consecutive cuts made is the longest active streak currently on Tour. Kuchar has also placed inside the top 30 in seven straight starts with three podium finishes along the way.Day finished T12 at Liberty National in 2009 and is coming off a T8 at the PGA Championship. He’s made 22 consecutive cuts and has finished 32nd or better in eight of his last 10 starts. Day is good for 14th in scoring average and 27th in All-Around Ranking.Dufner missed the cut at Liberty National in 2009, but is a much different player these days. The Duff Man recently won the PGA Championship after recording a T4 at Firestone. He now owns three top-fives over his last five starts.Since missing the cut at the British Open, McIlroy has resurfaced with a T27 at Firestone and a T8 in the PGA Championship. That marks his first top-10 since recording two in the month of May. McIlroy didn’t play Liberty National in 2009, but could now be something of a value among the top-tier players.Rose lost it over the weekend at the PGA Championship to finish T33. Prior to that stumble, he placed inside the top 20 four times in five starts, highlighted by winning the U.S. Open. Rose ranks second in total driving, third in scoring average and sixth in All-Around Ranking.Simpson placed solo eighth at Liberty National in 2009. In his three other August appearances he has finished T14 at Firestone, T25 at Oak Hill and T11 last week at Sedgefield. Simpson is 12th in scoring average and 18th in All-Around Ranking.Spieth won the John Deere Classic and then understandably struggled in two majors. He’s now coming off playoff defeat last week at Sedgefield. Spieth is now 13th in total driving, 15th in scoring average and second in All-Around Ranking. If not for the issues against stronger fields, Spieth would be a top-five play this week.
