AVON PARK, Fla. (AP) - Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Secretary Wansley Walters and Inspector General Robert Munson were set to tour a juvenile detention facility in central Florida where a riot broke out over the weekend. They were to visit Avon Park Youth Academy today following the Saturday night incident.

VERO BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A teen accused of having sex with her underage girlfriend will remain in jail until her trial. A judge ordered 19-year-old Kaitlyn Hunt to be held without bond during a hearing Tuesday. Hunt was booked into the Indian River County Jail Monday night, facing a new charge of transmitting material by electronic equipment harmful to a minor.

STUART, Fla. (AP) - Gov. Rick Scott is committing $40 million to finishing construction on a storm water treatment project by the St. Lucie River. Scott says the $40 million investment will speed up the completion date of the project which he says will protect the water quality in the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee estuaries.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The 1972 Miami Dolphins have finally received their White House moment, 40 years after their historic undefeated season. President Barack Obama welcomed former team members and their then-coach, Hall of Famer Don Shula, at a White House ceremony today.
