ROLAND, Ark. (AP) - U.S. Public Links champion Jordan Niebrugge and Sean Dale were tied playing the ninth hole Sunday when the Western Amateur final was suspended because of threatening weather.

They will finish the match Monday morning at The Alotian Club. Play was suspended at 5:40 p.m. after they hit their approaches to the ninth green, and called for the day at 7 p.m.

Niebrugge, the 6-foot-4 Oklahoma State player from Mequon, Wis., is trying to win his third straight event after following his Public Links win with a victory in the Wisconsin State Amateur.

Dale is a recent North Florida graduate.

In the morning semifinals, Niebrugge beat Arkansas' Sebastian Cappelen 1 up, and Dale topped Texas' Kramer Hickok 2 up.
