BALTIMORE (AP) - Miguel Gonzalez starts on the mound for the Baltimore Orioles in the second game of their series against the Tampa Bay Rays, who won the opener in a duel between AL East rivals.

MIAMI (AP) - One day after his 35th birthday, Chris Capuano pitches for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who try to end their first 2-game losing streak in two months when they face the Miami Marlins.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts III is practicing again after missing two preseason games. Shorts strained his left calf Aug. 5 in training camp. Shorts is expected to make his preseason debut Saturday night against Philadelphia.

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) - Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller will miss the entire season with a severe right knee injury. He tore several knee ligaments in a preseason game against Houston. Miami filled Keller's roster spot by signing undrafted rookie linebacker Nathan Williams.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The 1972 Miami Dolphins have finally received their White House moment. President Barack Obama welcomed former team members including Hall of Famers Don Shula and Larry Csonka for recognition 40 years after their historic undefeated season.
