Texans RB Arian Foster taken off PUP list, says he will play Week 1

I can't say that Texans running back Arian Foster @ArianFoster is healthy. But Wednesday's events tell us this is the healthiest he's been in about three months. The team removed Foster from the Physically Unable to Perform list, which he has been on since the start of training camp. He took part in the day's practice, and head coach Gary Kubiak said Foster looked "fresh" and "quick."
Foster, who has been dealing with calf and back pain since May, said he doesn't need any preseason work to be prepared for the regular season. And as far as the start of that regular season goes -- Sept. 9 versus the Chargers ---- Foster had this to say: "Yeah, I'll be ready."

Fantasy Analysis:

While this is nice to hear, there are still more negatives surrounding Foster than any truly elite fantasy running back. He's been overworked through the past three seasons. His yards-per-carry average is dropping. He has experienced a very slow recovery from a pair of nagging injuries this summer. And a healthy Ben Tate @BenTateRB could see his biggest full-season workload to date. I'm glad Foster is back on the field, but there are at least nine players I would rather own than him right now.
