Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green @ajgreen_18 will miss the team's first exhibition game this week with a knee injury. It's not considered serious, but practice and game prep must continue without him. So who is catching Andy Dalton's attention (and passes) the most with his No. 1 option sidelined? Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer says it has been rookie tight end Tyler Eifert @EiferTy85.
Reedy writes that Eifert "has pulled down 10 or more catches a day" from Dalton during 11-on-11 drills and is showing improvement as a run blocker. He adds that Eifert has "definitely become Dalton's favorite target" with Green unavailable.

Fantasy Analysis:

Eifert was a star at the NFL Combine, and he's got the skills to be moved out wide. I just don't think he'll have much fantasy value this year. After this year, sure. But Jermaine Gresham @JGresham84 is still in the picture for now. Plus, with Green, Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones and others, there doesn't seem to be enough footballs to go around for Eifert to be a major contributor right away. He's a great guy for those in dynasty leagues, but he's a TE2 for the redrafters.
