We always keep a close eye on DeMarco Murray in hopes that he doesn't break a bone just getting out of bed in the morning. But now we have to be concerned about his main insurance policy. Cowboys backup running Lance Dunbar
is expected to miss the next three-to-four weeks because of a sprained left foot. Dunbar suffered the injury during Saturday's preseason game in Arizona, and his foot is currently in a walking boot. Through three preseason games, Dunbar had averaged 5.6 yards per carry and gained 83 yards on six catches.
Fantasy Analysis:
The timetable means Dunbar is basically doubtful for Week 1. Dunbar has looked very good in the preseason, and the Cowboys have to hope he is not out for too long, but sprained foot injuries can be tricky. Rookie Joseph Randle has looked extremely average in games, but he is next on the depth chart. He will vie with Phillip Tanner
for the right to replace Dunbar for however long.
