Report: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski could be ready to play by Week 3

Rob Gronkowski @RobGronkowski is all over the football presses today. There was a report earlier on Monday that he's doubtful to play in Week 1 of the regular season. That's not a big deal to the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian. She wrote Monday that Week 1 "was never really in the forecast." Week 3 sounds more like it.
A source tells Guregian that Gronkowski is "right on schedule for a mid-September return." Accounting for time that he would need to get back into football shape after his body heals from multiple offseason surgeries, Guregian writes that Gronkowski should be ready by the Patriots' Week 3 game against the Buccaneers.

Fantasy Analysis:

The Patriots have 12 days to decide whether or not to place Gronkowski on the regular season PUP list, which would force him to miss the first six weeks. But that doesn't appear likely with this reported timetable. If Gronkowski is back to his usual self by Week 3, he is worth every penny at his current fourth-round ADP in 12-team leagues. I, however, will probably still not select him that high, but that's just because I am a very cautious drafter.
Rookie tight end Zach Sudfeld could have a valuable role in New England's offense even when Gronk returns.
