So much for Arian Foster coming back to practice today. That was the expectation of Texans head coach Gary Kubiak but, in his words, "it didn't happen." Foster has been dealing with a calf strain for more than two months, but he has now developed a new ailment. Kubiak said Foster sat out Sunday's session because of a sore back.
Fantasy Analysis:
This latest episode may not be a big deal, but there hasn't been good news regarding Foster's health since the start of the summer. And it's not like he is dealing with broken bones or torn ligaments; it's more like muscle pulls and other aches and pains. The amount of time Foster has needed to recover from these nagging injuries is alarming. What's going to happen once he puts the pads on and begins to absorb contact from defenders who want to level him? Keep Foster's gimpy summer in mind when draft day comes. He is still a first-round pick, but his arrow is pointing down. Also, push Ben Tate up a couple of notches in your rankings.
